I want to celebrate with YOU, my readers for making it through the 31 days of character building book series with me. On the 1st day I talked about my favorite bibles and the bibles I had heard about that were great for kids. I am happy to share more about The Child Training Bible with you today! If you have not checked out this great resource, you MUST! My husband and I have been putting ours together and we are LOVING it!
As I highlight the scriptures I’m reminded about what God’s Word says about the character issues that arise in family life. Not ONLY with our kids but with ourselves. How often do we lose our tempers? How many times do we become discouraged or fearful? This Bible is not only going to be great to take my kids to when they are stuggling but it is going to be great for me as well.
There are several topics and they include:
anger
complaining
defiance
discouraged
disobedience
fear
fighting
wrong friendships
unforgiveness
tattling
stealing
selfishness
quarreling
pride
impatience
jealousy
laziness
lying
making excuses
not listening
and a special section on the Gospels
The Child Training Bible charts include over 200 Scripture references, heart and gospel questions, and sample prayers. They have a video on their website that helps you put together your Bible. I love Nathan and Mindy Dunn’s heart for getting the Word in their kids hearts and love how they have shared their passion so we could share our own Bibles with our families.
I have one set of Child Training Bible Charts to giveaway. This does not include the bible, highlighters, or tabs. The giveaway is for the charts but it will get you started in creating your own Child Training Bible!
I was given a set of charts free to review. All opinions are 100 percent mine!

I Thes. 5:24 is my life verse.
When my husband died 10 years ago, my twin sons (age 5) and I clung to the promise found in Jeremiah 29:11. That hope and promise of a future sustained us through a very unsure time of our lives. Ten years later (to the DAY), God reassured me of His promise as I read our family bible study to my 15 year old sons, and my three young daughters as we read and discussed the promises in this very same bible verse last night! My hope rests in the Lord!
Yes! I’d like the chance to win!!! 🙂

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” And my family has clung to 2 Timothy 1:7 many times: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self control.”
I don’t know why it’s not working… so here I go again: Romans 12:2 and 2 Timothy 1:7

smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matt. 6:25-27)
